How care can be delivered

More flexibility, without losing clinical rigor.

The service model is designed for neurological problems that benefit from time, records review, communication, and coordinated follow-through.

Comprehensive consultation
Detailed history, neurological examination, review of prior records and testing, medication assessment, diagnostic planning, and clear follow-up recommendations.
Second opinions & imaging review
Revisit a diagnosis, compare prior recommendations, or review brain and spine imaging directly in the context of symptoms and examination.
Telehealth & direct communication
Telehealth supports appropriate consultations and follow-up, with clear channels for questions between visits.
House calls & facility visits
Home, assisted-living, or memory-care visits when clinically appropriate, geographically feasible, and arranged in advance.
Insurance and billing

Transparent expectations before care begins.

Out-of-network practice
We do not participate in commercial insurance networks, and payment is due at the time of service. For PPO plans, a detailed superbill can be provided for you to submit for possible out-of-network reimbursement — payment is determined by your insurer and is not guaranteed.
Medicare
The practice has opted out of Medicare. A Medicare beneficiary receiving non-emergency physician services enters a private contract before care; those services are paid directly and are not submitted to Medicare.
Third-party services
Laboratory tests, imaging, and medications ordered by Los Altos Neurology are generally covered by Medicare and other insurance plans through those providers.
